Welcome to Livin Futures' Employability Hub
Livin has almost 8500 properties in the area and therefore is committed to supporting local people into work, education and training. In preparation for all of the challenges that will face unemployed residents, businesses, charities, training providers, colleges, schools and employability services in the next financial year, we have decided to set up four new employability hubs across south Durham.
These employability hubs, sometimes known as employability networks or task groups, will be virtual networks used to share jobs, contacts, provision, funding and planning information with businesses and services within each locality. A detailed provision and key contacts roadmap, Facebook page, job and careers events and sporadic catch-up meetings will follow.
The four hubs will be loosely based on the Durham County Council and DWP customer boundaries and will focus on the following towns and villages:
Newton Aycliffe & Shildon
Chilton, Ferryhill & West Cornforth
Fishburn & Trimdons
