We are thrilled that alongside business transformation specialist Cirrus we are finalist in the UK’s prestigious CIPD People Management Awards. Cirrus has been shortlisted in the category of ‘Best L&D/HR Consultancy’ in recognition of its successful work with us.
This award celebrates consultancies who have worked in partnership with a client on a people-related project to address a strategic issue. The ‘Connected Leaders @livin’ programme has developed leaders across the organisation to be more future-focused in line with our ambitious growth plans.
The programme encouraged a more strategic business focus and helped to develop a ‘one livin’ mindset through increased collaboration to achieve shared goals.
100% of participants feel their leadership skills had improved as a result of the programme, and would recommend it. The vast majority say they now have a much more strategic focus. Collaboration has improved and leaders have become more ‘connected’ – both with each other and with external stakeholders and customers. Customer satisfaction has also improved.
“We had a seamless partnership with Cirrus on this programme, working very closely to achieve shared goals,” says Alan Boddy, executive director of housing and business development at livin. “Cirrus provided a combination of challenge and support. They pushed us quite hard out of our comfort zones, but we always knew they had our back. They wanted us to succeed and to create an impact, and to do that by developing a more collaborative culture where more leaders across the business could take responsibility. The programme has changes the way we operate.”
For Jenny Perkins, head of engagement at Cirrus, the programme was a tremendous opportunity to build on her passion for engaging people with their organisation’s core purpose. “The vision of livin is to build a sustainable and successful business that provides great homes and supports tenants to improve their lives. ‘Connected Leaders@livin’ enabled people to take responsibility for achieving shared business goals, and ultimately to benefit customers. It personifies the core Cirrus purpose of building better lives through better business and better leadership.”
CIPD People Management Award winners will be announced at a gala dinner in London on Tuesday 26 September.
