Jubilee Fields Community Centre celebrates 25 years at the heart of the community
Jubilee Fields Community Centre marked a significant milestone, celebrating 25 years of supporting residents and bringing the local community together.
The centre welcomed hundreds of residents, families and supporters to a special anniversary event, which we were proud to part sponsor. The day was filled with fun activities, delicious food and plenty of laughter. The celebration also brought together volunteers and Management Committee members who have been involved with the centre since its earliest days, giving everyone the chance to reflect on its rich history and the positive impact it has had on generations of local people.
For more than two decades, we have proudly supported Jubilee Fields Community Centre and the vital role it plays within the estate. Most recently, during the regeneration of the Jubilee Estate, the centre became a focal point for community engagement, hosting drop-in sessions, consultation events, community meetings and activities designed to improve employment opportunities, health and wellbeing, community safety, and financial and digital inclusion.
Lesley Bowes, Centre Development Co-Ordinator said;"Celebrating 25 years of Jubilee Fields Community Centre is a proud milestone for everyone who has been part of our journey. From volunteers and committee members to local residents and partner organisations, the centre has always been at the heart of the community. It was wonderful to see so many people come together to share memories, celebrate our achievements and look ahead to the future."
Andy Coulthard, Community Regeneration Manager said; Jubilee Fields Community Centre has been at the heart of everything we, and our partners have developed on the estate over the last few years. It is a warm and welcoming hub and has been a place where much debate, planning and delivery has taken place. The community have been coming here for over a quarter of a century, and it is, and will continue to be, an important part of local peoples lives.
