Case Study
Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP)
PCP is a community‑focused organisation working across County Durham to support people to live well, feel connected and access the help they need. Through a range of activities and support services, they create welcoming spaces where local people can come together, build relationships and improve their wellbeing.
Over 7 weeks of provision, the sessions saw 130 adult attendances and 16 child attendances, showing strong and sustained engagement from local residents. During this time, 145 meals were provided, giving people access to nutritious food while also creating opportunities for conversation and connection.
Ann Bell, Community Projects Officer at PCP, said: “We engage with more than 134,000 people each year through a wide range of projects and services that respond to local need and make a positive difference. With support from Livin, we’ve been able to deliver a range of initiatives for local people. For example, this year we provided 98 Easter eggs for children in the community. The confidence we’ve seen grow in people attending over time has been incredible. For many, this support is a lifeline.”
