Over 300 Christmas day meals and 100 hampers and treats have been delivered to older and more vulnerable people across County Durham.
We gave funding to our long-standing community partners to help provide a happier festive period for those who may have found it difficult to manage themselves.
Junction 7 and Hub of Wishes, Newton Aycliffe, Shildon Alive and Trimdon Grange Community Centre each created, packed and delivered meals, hampers and treats on and around Christmas day to people across County Durham.
Mrs Sue Mathews of Newton Aycliffe said “I'm on my own and it made my day. I have been looking forward to this and definitely wasn’t disappointed, absolutely gorgeous, thank you so much”
Vicky Miller, head of regeneration said: “Working together with our community partners we are delighted to provide continued support to those who need it. The festive period has been no different. Our partners are a credit to their community”
Jane Johnson, Junction 7 co-founder said: “The co-funding and support from Livin is critical to help us to reach out to everyone who needs our help in this community. We support a large number of vulnerable and isolated people who were extremely for a little treat that helped brighten up their Christmas”.
