Apprentices head back to the classroom for inspire day

Ten of our apprentices swapped their day jobs for the classroom last week, to share their experiences since leaving secondary school, and choosing to earn while they learn.

Whitworth Park Academy invited our apprentices, placed in construction, digital transformation, IT, policy and strategy, and administration to share their learning experiences with year 10 students as part of its inspire Day.

Each of the apprentices, four of whom are former students of Whitworth Park Academy, shared details about the journey into their chosen apprenticeship, what a typical workday is like, the qualifications they were pursuing in college and universities, and details about their current and predicted career income.

Abi Wilson, Digital Analyst Apprentice said: "I chatted with the students about the different options I considered when in year 10, including my degree apprenticeships. I couldn't be happier with my degree apprenticeship, and I was lucky enough to have heard from a degree apprentice at a similar careers talk when I was 16 which encouraged me to take this route".
