Whitworth Park Academy welcomed ten Livin Futures apprentices to take part in their career’s talks, to share their experiences and the advantages an apprenticeship has given them since leaving school.
From bricklaying to administration, the apprentices presented individually in front of year 11 students, sharing details of a typical day at work, the qualifications they are studying at college, details of the hours of work and how much money they earned.
Helen Johnson, Livin Futures Manager said: “It was a great experience for the students, and the apprentices as many had never previously presented to an audience. It gave the year 11 students a great insight into what opportunities an apprenticeship can give them including being able to study at college or University whilst earning money at work.”
