Over 30 local children will enjoy a fun packed week of free Easter holiday activities thanks to a community partnership in Shildon.
We have joined forces with Shildon AFC and Sunderland AFC’s Foundation of Light to run a free activity week at Dean Street Stadium, Shildon this Easter.
Local children will enjoy four days of fun packed games, including coaching from the Foundation of Light and training with local Shildon AFC captain Ben Trotter. Healthy breakfasts and lunches will be provided by Shildon Alive, Greggs Foundation and Salvos restaurant. At the end of the week there will be a presentation event and participants will receive Easter goodies and a Shildon AFC home shirt.
Alan Boddy, executive director of housing and operations at Livin said “this is a fantastic free event, aimed at encouraging children to be active and healthy over the holiday period. We are proud of this partnership and the work it does in Shildon and we hope everybody who takes part has a great week.”
