Consultation on improvements to homes in ‘The Courts’ at Shildon has reached the next phase.
We are working closely with residents to draft a plan based on local feedback, and is now talking in detail to residents about their views.
The proposed plan is designed to improve the quality of life for residents by enhancing homes and the local environment. Plans include all homes undergoing a facelift consisting of rendering, new windows and doors, provision of additional parking, garden spaces and an improved estate layout, road changes and landscaping where space allows.
Alan Boddy, executive director of housing and operations at Livin said: “we have been working with the residents of The Courts to improve the design of the estate for some time. We want to update and modernise these homes, improve the environmental design and help create a great community where people love to live. We encourage all residents and community stakeholders to get involved and help shape the plans for this community ”.
It is anticipated a planning application for the estate can be submitted in the next couple of months with work commencing later in 2019.
