How do I bid for a home?

Before you can bid on one of our homes, you must first have an active account with Durham Key Options. If you are unsure how to do this, you can watch our helpful video which talks you through the process. If you have an account which is already activated and you are still encountering problems, please contact us.

I am unable to register for Durham Key Options online, what should I do?

If you are unable to register for Durham Key Options online you can request a paper application form by contacting us. However, please note that all bids on properties are placed digitally and processing a paper copy application can take longer than if submitted online.

How long will it take for my application to be processed?

We aim to start processing your application within 10 working days. If we require any further information after this point, we will contact you to ask for this. Once we have received all the required information we will notify you of our decision within 20 days, and if accepted we will activate your account. You can also check your application status online by logging into the DKO portal.

How do I find out what stage my application is at?

You can check the status of your application by logging into the DKO portal. This is updated regularly so will provide you with the most up to date information.

How do I send Livin my supporting documents?

All evidence should be uploaded online onto the DKO portal. You can also send direct messages regarding your application in the portal.

How do I check the status of my housing bid?

You can check the status of your housing bid at www.durhamkeyoptions.co.uk.

Log into your account and go to “My Bids” on the homepage. There you can see a history of all bids you have made and where you came on the shortlists.

We aim to contact winning bidders by telephone and/or email within 1 working day of bids closing on individual homes. Unfortunately, if you are not the successful bidder you will not be contacted.
