Spreading Christmas cheer with our annual toy appeal
Families across our communities will enjoy a brighter Christmas this year thanks to our annual toy appeal, which returned as part of our housing support offer for those who need a little extra help over the festive season.
With match funding from our partner Mears Group, bringing the total to £1,000, our apprentices chose, wrapped and delivered presents for over 60 children from across our communities. Each child had the chance to select something special, with popular gifts including LEGO sets, Roblox and gaming vouchers, board games, arts and crafts kits, dolls, remote-control cars, sensory toys and chocolate selection boxes.
Our tenant, shared her heartfelt thanks: "Thank you all for the boys' presents, it's a lovely thing you're doing, and I appreciate it. I wish everyone a lovely Christmas."
Alan Boddy, Chief Executive, said, "It’s about more than just gifts – it’s about showing care and ensuring families feel supported during what can be a challenging time. This is a great example of what can be achieved working together with our partners."
The toy appeal also highlights the wider support we provide to families throughout the year. Our recent Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSM) show how much residents value meaningful, practical help when they need it most. Read our TSM story here > > https://bit.ly/TSMlatestnews
