Supporting families with back-to-school essentials

This year, we reviewed our targeted support offer in response to feedback from families across our communities.

We introduced tailored back-to-school packs containing essential items such as stationery, calculators and other school supplies. Aimed at easing the financial strain that back-to-school costs can place on families, the packs ensure every child could start the academic year feeling confident and fully prepared.

Tom (student) said: "Rebecca from Livin dropped off a back-to-school pack for my little brother and my mam hadn't realised that we needed a scientific calculator as I'd just been borrowing my friends. She dropped a pack off for me the next day after hearing I was borrowing items and I'm chuffed with it".

Hallie Smith, Housing Apprentice said: “We've distributed over 120 packs to families across our communities which have been gratefully received. We will continue to review our support offer making sure we are supporting families where they need it most".
