Trimdon Village - Local offers

We listened, we acted

In Autumn 2024, we asked our tenants in Trimdon Village what would help improve their community and their quality of life. More than 70 people shared their views. This helped us agree on three Local Offers with residents and partners.

We will continue working with residents and partners until March 2028 to make sure these local offers are delivered.

Our anti-social behaviour (ASB) offer

We know how important it is for everyone to feel safe and supported in their communities. By working closely with you, the Police and Durham County Council, we can take prompt and effective action when issues of anti‑social behaviour arise.

When you tell us something isn’t right, we will act quickly, appropriately and decisively to help prevent problems from escalating. We use information from both the Police and our own reports to understand what’s happening in our communities and to measure the impact of our work.

In 2024/25 there were 29 reports of anti‑social behaviour (ASB) to the Police and 21 reports to us in Trimdon Village. As part of this pledge, we are committed to reducing the number of reported ASB cases by 5% in 2025/26, and we will continue to work together with our partners and residents to make this happen.

Our environment and open spaces offer

We know how frustrating issues like litter, dog fouling and the general appearance of the high street can be, and we want to help make things better.

If you spot a problem, you can report it quickly through the My Livin app. If the issue is in an area we don’t manage, we’ll make sure you’re put in touch with the right team at Durham County Council so nothing gets missed.

We’ll also carry out regular inspections across your community, including open spaces, to make sure they are well‑maintained and looked after.

To measure how we’re doing, we track the issues we find during estate inspections and how quickly we put things right. In 2024/25, neighbourhood satisfaction in Trimdon Village was 95.65%. During our three inspections that year, we identified 25 actions and we completed each one.

Our income and employment offer

We know the cost of living is affecting everyone, and some people are feeling it more than others. We can help you build new skills and find routs into work to ease money worries.

Our Livin Futures team can support you with free training, local job opportunities and improve your job seeking skills. We can also help you manage your money with advice on budgeting, benefits, insurance and energy costs.

We will measure our progress by looking at how much tenants' financial confidence improve, the financial gains made by people who receive support, and how many residents we help into work. Our Livin Futures team has already supported 9 residents from Trimdon Village into employment during 2023/24, and we will continue to build on this.

We acted and will continue to act…

We have a stakeholder group for the village that includes tenants and partners. This group helps deliver activities and checks progress on the local offers.
