Nathan Lawson - Horticulture Apprentice

Nathan started his career in the manufacturing industry and knew quite quickly that being in a factory wasn’t for him.

He applied for a KickStart placement with Glendale where he completed a 6-month placement, it made him find a new love for working outdoors and transforming landscapes. The opportunity to become a Horticulture Apprentice where he studies one day a week and learns on the job for the rest of the time became available. He is now working towards his level 3.

“I love to see results from start to finish, like starting to cut back an overgrown hedge and then seeing the end result. I really love my job even working outside when it’s wet and cold. My advice would be to take the opportunity if you love what you’re doing, you won’t look back”
