Our people case study - Sophie Stradling, Building Surveyor Apprentice

In June 2025, Sophie joined our Assets Team after five years working as an administrator in supported housing. While she loved the sector, she was looking for a role with more opportunities to grow.  

As a Building Surveyor Apprentice studying towards level 3 Surveying Technician. Sophie has settled in quickly, getting involved in snagging new kitchens, heating systems and window installations, learning how different property components work, and helping the team by organising stock condition surveys. She’s built good relationships with colleagues, partners and customers, and is becoming more confident with quality checks — spotting issues, raising defects and knowing when something needs attention.
